Lacey Keesee is Director of Food Safety for The Acheson Group. Lacey has over 15 years of professional experience in food manufacturing working in food safety and quality related fields. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science and Technology, she worked in numerous food sector categories, including Meat Processing, Dairy Processing, Ready To Eat, Snacks and Confections, Shelf Stable Dressings Sauces and Condiments, Low Acid Canned Foods, Infant Formula, and Medical Nutritional Foods.
Lacey has experience with large corporations including roles as Compliance Manager with Abbott, Quality Specialist with Nestle, and Food Safety Supervisor for Kelloggs. Throughout her career, she also her worked with smaller firms in the areas of quality assurance and process control.
Lacey also holds a number of licenses and certifications, including Lead Instructor Preventive Controls for Human Food; Canned Food, Principles of Thermal Process School, Acidification and Container Closure; Implementing SQF Systems Auditing; SQF Practitioner; and HACCP.
