Auja Bywater is an Assistant in Food Safety for The Acheson Group (TAG). She is responsible for supporting The Acheson Group as needed on food safety and public health-related projects. She assists with crisis management, strategic direction planning, and on-site facility assessments.
Before working with TAG, Auja worked with Montana’s State Health Department in their Communicable Disease Epidemiology division. In this role she analyzed complex data sets to better understand communicable diseases in Montana. She then developed infographics and reports for the public. With the Montana State Health Department, she was also a part of the Governor’s COVID-19 response team and facilitated sentinel surveillance in long-term and assisted living facilities.
Auja earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Epidemiology from Brigham Young University – Idaho. Auja holds a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification.
